How To Use The Dice

In order to use any of the dice rolls you must first select "Post Reply". Dice rolls cannot be made from the quick reply box. Upon doing so you will then scroll to the bottom of the page where you will find ____________ box. Clicking this box will show all the different dice available for use,you simply click the dice roll your trying to use. Upon doing so, you can continue to post in your thread as normal and then post the reply. When you do this, your post will come out as two posts, one being the actual content of your post in response to a thread and the second being the result from the dice roll you have chosen. If the roll is successful, then the action continues as posted and the next individual posting must respond to the post accordingly. If the dice roll fails, then the poster must go back to their post and edit it accordingly to properly express the failed rolled In-character.

*If one desires to use multiple dice rolls (meaning more than one action), all they will need to do hit the "+" sign located next to the dice roll drop box after picking the first dice roll. Doing so will open another drop box for one to use to if so desired. What should be considered is that if one makes more than one attack and thus have to make more than one dice roll, it is possible that some will fail and some will succeed. Post must be edited edited based on this. What this means that if your first dice roll fails, but the second one succeeds then you must go and edit your post to signify the result of the dice roll. Failure to do so can and will result in your post being voided or a possible ending to the entire thread if the issues causes major issues in the thread. *

Four-Sided Dice Roll (The Unarmed Damage and The Storyline Difficulty Dice)

The Four-Sided dice can be used for damage, which is the default damage for hand-to-hand combat. This is also the dice roll used to determine difficulty of a Storyline Thread, with 1 being the easiest and 4 being the most difficult.

  • ~ Level 1 Difficulty - NPC are no stronger than Tier one and there can be no more than 3 Tier One NPC in a Storyline, any number of Tier Zero can be allowed within a Storyline. In order to better understand the capabilities of an NPC then look up the NPC Guide.
  • ~ Level 2 Difficulty - NPC are no stronger than Tier Two with no more than 3 Tier Two NPC in a Storyline, any number of Tier One and Tier Zero can be allowed within a Storyline.
  • ~ Level 3 Difficulty - NPC are no stronger than Tier Three with no more than 3 Tier Three NPC in a Storyline, any  number of Tier Two, Tier One, and Tier Zero can be allowed within a Storyline. If there are ever more than Ten NPC in a thread then a Tier Four is automatically added to the the thread as a boss or leader.
  • ~ Level 4 Difficulty - NPC are no stronger than Tier Four  with no more than 3 Tier Four NPC in a Storyline, any  number of Tier Three, Tier Two, Tier One, and Tier Zero can be allowed within a Storyline. If there are ever more than Ten NPC in a thread then a Top Tier is automatically added to the the thread as a boss or leader.

Six-Sided,  Eight-Sided, and Ten-Sided Dice Roll (The Damage Dice)
The six sided dice is predominantly  damage dice roll for weapons across the board, from bladed or blunt weapons to ranged weapons. This dice can also be used twice in regards to damage that is greater than 6, but lower than Thirteen. The Eight Sided dice roll is similar to the Six-Sided in that in involved damage from weapons, but also techniques and spells. And also, the Eight-Sided can be picked twice if the damage exceeds Nine but is lower than Seventeen. In addition to this, the Six-Sided and Eight Sided dice rolls can be combined if the total is higher than 9 but lower than 15. The ten-sided dice roll is the highest damage dice roll available and like the Six and Eight Sided dice roll can be combined if the total damage is higher than 10 but lower than 21.

Twenty-Sided Dice Roll  (Combat Dice)

This dice roll revolves around combat and determines if one is able to land an attack or if it misses. The factors that determine if a character can be hit is their AC (Armor Class), which is based on the armor or protection one wears or has and their stats *More explained in the Armor Class Guide*. If ones dice roll exceeds the or is equal to the AC of a target, then the attack itself is successful. However, this does not mean that the attack automatically lands, more so that the attack goes off as planned and the target must in turn react to the attack, failing to do so properly resulting in the attack landing and causing damage to the target. Dice rolls that result in 1 bring about disastrous results for the attacker; often resulting in them falling down, dropping the weapon, or a spell backfiring. A 20 dice roll is perfect and if landed results in double damage and depending on the attack, result in the opponent being knocked off their feet or suffering onus effects from the attack itself *stunned, disoriented, ect.*

The Chance Dice Roll

When it comes to certain skills that deal in senses, perception,  or skill checks. This can include using ones sense of smell, hearing, or seeing slight changes to climbing walls, bending bars, or simply moving silently. The dice itself starts at 1 with 00 being actually 100. Based on a characters skills they possess, they are able to use these dice rolls to determine if they are successfully able to pull off these skills or actions. Failure to make a roll means that the individual failed in the task, climbing a wall and failing would result in one completely falling down or attempting to hide in the shadows from an assailant can result being immediately found.
